About Me

My path to massage therapy and energy healing has been shaped by a lifelong passion for helping others heal and thrive. Before becoming a massage therapist, I spent more than a decade as a Registered Dietitian working in hospitals, clinics, long-term care, and corporate wellness. While that work was deeply meaningful, I ultimately felt called toward a more hands-on, holistic approach to healing.

I graduated from East-West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, where I trained in both Western and Eastern bodywork practices, including Swedish massage, therapeutic deep tissue, myofascial release, acupressure, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I also completed Reiki III (Master Level) training with Erin Helmuth, RP III, RMT. My approach is intuitive, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that every person's healing journey is unique.

As a longtime member of Madison's east side community, I am honored to create a welcoming space where people can rest, reconnect, and receive compassionate care. As an aerial dancer and longtime yoga practitioner, I have experienced firsthand the connection between body, mind, and spirit, and those experiences continue to shape my work. I look forward to being part of your healing journey.

About My Studio

The Sage Room is a cozy home-based studio located in Madison’s Atwood neighborhood, just a few blocks from Olbrich Gardens. Because The Sage Room is located in my home, there are a few practical details I want you to know before your visit.

Accessibility

There are 7 steps with a handrail leading up to my front door. If stairs are a barrier for you, please reach out before booking. I offer mobile massage options and am happy to discuss whether an onsite session might be a good alternative.

A Note About My Dog

I share my home with Charlie, a friendly, elderly basset hound. Charlie does not enter the treatment room and is kept separate from clients during sessions. I also run an air purifier in the treatment room.

If you have significant pet allergies or prefer to be in a completely animal-free environment, please keep this in mind when deciding whether this home studio is the right fit for you. If you have questions or concerns, I'm always happy to talk with you beforehand.

Parking

There is plentiful street parking available near the studio. Only park on our side of the street, as there is no parking on the opposite side. Do not park in our driveway unless you call ahead and confirm with me.

Your Comfort Matters

If you have any questions about accessibility, parking, the home studio environment, or anything else that would help you feel more comfortable during your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out.

The Sage Room is a place for you to arrive, exhale, and take a little time for yourself.
